It’s only been about a week and a half since I began listening to when my body is hungry, what it wants, and when it’s not hungry anymore. The food mass has gone down drastically due to eating less than half of the normal amount of food. Also, I’ve been eating way more protein type foods than I ever had. More meats, more cheeses, and way less veggies/fruits. The result? Constipation for the past week. Argh!
So today I’m going to purchase an over-the-counter product called Citrucel. Which is a fiber supplement. I thought hard about it, weighing the pros and cons. And have decided that I will take the fiber supplement while I work on convincing my body to want more fibery foods. I’m not talking about forcing my body to eat salads and such. But of definitely including veggies on my plate with each meal…even if it’s not initially asking for them.
