So my primary doctor prescribed some pennicillin and hydrocodone for me. The pennicillin pill smells and tastes nasty. Even if it’s on my tongue for only a short sec, the taste lasts. The hydrocodone seemed to not really be doing much. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. When it does work it takes about 1/2 an hour before it starts to do ANYthing, and then it may reduce some of the pain for about 2 hours, or reduce almost all the pain for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours. But I have to wait 4 hours between dosages. Argh!
I’ve been crying and whimpering for the past few days because of this pain. Trying to stay calm because i know that the more upset i get about it, the more tense i get, the more pain it’ll cause. But I’ve become a wimp too.
Anyways, so today I called the pharmacy to see if they’d had any problems with this medication, if people have complained about it. The lady said no they haven’t had any complaints/problems with it. Then I asked her if it was ok if i took ibuprofin with both medications. She said that that would actually be a good idea. She said i could take up to three at a time 4 times a day, with food.
So I took two ibuprofins. And wow, i dunno if it was the combination of the two or what, but finally, FINALLY, I’ve had about two hours now of pain freeness. I can still feel the pressure and such, but not so much the pain. Nice!! (Of course I also feel all drugged up to…not so nice, heh…but better than the pain.)
Hopefully this will work tonight and I’ll actually get some good sleep in. That would be soooo nice. yeah…
