October 2008 Lifestyle Goals:

  • No S Diet:  No Snacks, No Sweets, No Seconds.  (except on S days = Fri eve, Sat day, Special days)
  • Food w/o Entertainment:  No Food with TV, Computer, Games, Reading, etc.  (except on S days.)
  • Fitness:  minimal 1 activity per day.  Choose from Stretches, T-Tapp, Shovel Glove, Walk long block, or Kickbike 4 blocks.  (except on S days.)
  • Clear Bedroom Area:  Each day clear out some of Bathroom, Bedroom, or Closet.  (except on S days.)
  • Encourage Family Members to fill out their own Habit Tracking Chart each day.

    October’s Goals Update:

    Ok, well, I didn’t get very far in ANYthing at all!!!
    After eating some cereal, I started craving breads and such again, and damned if that didn’t cascade into dropping the whole No S thing. After I recover from this cough/cold thing, I intend to get back into the No S thing.

    We started watching tv for evening meals as well. So the Food w/o Entertainment thing fell apart.

    While I did get some of the Bathroom done, I hardly got any of the cleaning done.

    And the Fitness aspect…pfft

    I did make a chart at the beginning of the month for each of us, and after about 1 1/2 weeks, it became forgotten by us all.

    My weight started going up a little towards the last week and half of october. I’m not entering the weight/measurement info here because I’ve just been too sick the past week, and am still not all together yet.

    I hope November goes even a little better than October did. But it looks like November will have similar goals as October did.

    On another note, this recent cough/cold thing has made it clear to me that if I don’t start doing something to improve my health, it’ll get harder and harder to get over health issues, and they’ll become more likely to happen. I intend to live another 40-60 years. So I’d best get my body prepared for the long haul!
